The term information system (IS) sometimes refers to a system of persons, data records and activities that process the data and information in an organization. It also includes  the organization's manual and automated process. 

We are considered lucky to live in this information and technology era, can you imagine how our parents search for information during their days?

Well lets see how Information System have made our life easier.

• Information systems and technology are integral to our life.
  To pay bill, to do research and even to shop. All this can be done just with IS. A single click and everything is done. Although people tend to look at it bad side, it actually benefits more.
• Information system offer career opportunities.
  With the knowledge of Information System, it is one big advantage in career opportunities. Employer surely want an employees with this slight advantage rather than others. With the help of Information Sytem, operation and organization in companies will be more rapid than before.
• Information system are used by all functional areas in an organization.
  Every single department in an organization use Information System to get their company going and to be ahead from others. Take Credit Card Department of a certain bank as example. Im gonna take RHB Bank as example because i have experienced working in the Credit Card Department, we receive lmost thousands of cheques every day to be credited or debited into the bank account, this process would be such a mess if we dont have IS to help us.

To conclude, Information System benefits us more in every single aspect such as gathering information and process data.
